Back when my father was a younger man, before I was a glint in his eye, he bought himself a 1973 Dodge Charger. That car, which once looked a little like this one here
now sits in my parents’ garage looking a little worse for wear. For years my dad and I talked about restoring the old girl, but we were both always so busy with everything else going on in our lives that we never did fix her.
She’s been sitting in that garage patiently waiting for us to come back to her. Now, with my dad retired and me looking to finish some of the things I’ve left undone, we’ll finally give her the attention she deserves. It’ll be a long process to bring her back to her former glory, but the hours we put in will be worth it long before we ever get her on the road.
