Under the Sea

A very brief update today (I can hear your sigh of relief Jeremy and I’m not amused). I’ve registered for my Open Water Scuba course, which is set to start this coming Sunday. In three short weeks I will have completed the written and in pool training, at which point I’ll just have my 4 open water dives to complete. At this rate maybe I’ll actually have time to see the Great Barrier Reef one more time before it all dies off.

What’s that, you didn’t know that the GBR is dying. Well it is, and much more quickly than anticipated. Don’t worry though, Climate Change is a hoax and this is in no way associated with the ocean changes predicted by the climate change models. If you’d like to read about the impacts of Climate Change on the GBR I’d suggest this short web page as a start. It is hosted on the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority’s website, so I’m sure all the skeptics would point out that they aren’t an “objective source.” Fortunately, I can’t imagine a lot of skeptics read this blog. Mostly because not a lot of people read this blog.

That’s all from me for today. Now remember, “darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter. Take it from me.”

Update: Just picked up my course pack. Pretty excited about this.
